At Manning Materials, The top selling toilet partitions have consistently been powder-coated metal partition and the plastic-laminated partitions. The reason being is that these are long lasting and a great value.
While the dominating factor in the popularity of these partitions has been the economics, the other materials have been attractive in their own market segments. For example, most high end office buildings and hotels enjoy stainless steel partitions. These partitions have a clean, elegant look. On the other hand, if your partitions are prone to graffiti and vandalism, the solid phenolic partitions have been very popular especially in a solid black color. Some phenolic
products are easier to clean off graffiti; contact us to learn which surfaces are the most graffiti
resistant.
Popular Mounting Styles
Partition material is only half the story. The other aspect is the mounting style. We have four different mounting styles, each having their own unique advantage. These mounting styles are:
- Floor mounted overhead braced
- Floor mounted (no overhead braces)
- Ceiling hung (no contact with the floor)
- Floor to ceiling (mounted at both the floor and the ceiling)
85 to 90% of partitions sold are the floor-mounted overhead-braced style. They continue to be our most popular style and are ideal for wood and concrete floors. The pilasters are attached to the floor and the panels are attached to the walls. An anodized aluminum anti-grip headrail runs across the top for additional strength and support. This style is also the most economical one.
The second most popular style is the ceiling-hung partition. In this style the pilasters are attached to the ceiling and the panels are attached to the walls. This style leaves an unobstructed floor area for efficient cleaning because the pilasters are typically 12 inches above the floor.
The floor-mounted partition use pilasters that are attached to the floor and are flush with the doors. This gives the stall a nice clean look at the top. This style is ideal for areas with a low ceiling, because there are no overhead attachments.
Finally, the most sturdy style is the floor to ceiling mounted. In this case the pilasters are attached to both the floor and the ceiling, resulting in a very sturdy structure.
